Power Brake Booster: Installation

  1. Replace the brake booster gasket.
  2. Install the brake booster. Apply Thread Locking Adhesive (74-96-268) to the brake booster bolts and install. Tighten brake booster bolts to specification.
  3. Install the vacuum hose to the brake booster.
  4. Lift up the engine. Install the engine mounting bolts. Tighten engine mounting bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Install the brake pedal's pivot pin.
  6. Install the driver-side sound insulation panel.
  7. Install the master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER .
  8. Install the TCS/ESP hydraulic unit. See TCS/ESP HYDRAULIC UNIT .
