Front Hub Assembly: Removal

- Raise the car.
- Remove the wheel.
- Remove the hub nut.
- Using Driveshaft Puller (89-96-951), press in the drive shaft so that it loosens from the hub.
- Remove the brake rotor. See FRONT BRAKE ROTOR .
- Remove the wheel sensor connection. See Fig 1.
- Remove the ball joint bolt securing the suspension arm to the steering knuckle.
- Pull out the ball joint pin.
- Place a wedge between the suspension arm and the anti-roll bar in order to hold down the suspension arm.NOTE: Take care that the inner universal joint does not separate.
- Pull the drive shaft out from the hub and lift the hub and steering knuckle from the shaft.
- Remove the 3 bolts from the hub. Lift off the hub and the brake shield.
