Fault Isolation Procedure

  1. Changing components: Change Heated oxygen sensor 1. go to next step.
  2. Initiating diagnostics:
    • Check the diagnostic status of DTC P0133 with the diagnostic tool.
    • Start the engine and run it at idling speed.
    • Let the engine run at idling speed until the coolant temperature exceeds 60°C and for at least 3 minutes.
      NOTE: Do not touch the brake pedal.
    • State what the diagnostic tool shows:
      • OK - The steps taken to rectify the fault were correct. Clear the DTCs in all systems.
      • NOT READY - The diagnosis has not yet been performed. Therefore, attempt to activate the diagnosis again by going back in the fault diagnosis to the section 'Initiating diagnosis'. Then continue fault diagnosis from there.
      • DTC - Diagnosis indicates the fault is still present.
