Charge Air Bypass Valve: V6

  1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the charge air bypass valve. See Fig 1.
  2. Connect the Pressure/Vacuum Pump (30 14 883), and build negative pressure in the valve.
  3. Check that the diaphragm is intact. If the diaphragm is damaged, no vacuum can be created.
  4. Repeat steps  2 and  3 , but pump up a pressure. See Fig 2.
  5. Disconnect the pump.
  6. Connect the vacuum hose.
