CARS AFFECTED
Saab 9-3 M01 with diesel engine from VIN 12020009 -
BACKGROUND
The PSG 16 engine management system of the new diesel engine has a new function that means that the diesel pump injects a small amount of fuel before the main injection. This function, known as pilot injection, is primarily to reduce diesel knock. The function is described in WIS under Technical description - Diesel pump. Pilot injection will be introduced successively a short time after the start of production, which starts with the VIN above.
