Throttle Body: Installation
- Install the lower vacuum hose. See Fig 1 .
- Install the coolant hoses and remove the clamps.
- Position the throttle body and screw it on with the 3 retaining screws. Install a NEW seal if necessary and lubricate it with a thin coat of petroleum jelly (Vaseline).
- Attach the hose under the limp-home solenoid and install the clip.
- Tighten the 3 throttle body retaining screws. See Fig 2 .
- Spray the throttle body 10-pin connector with Kontakt 61 contact cleaner and plug it in.
- Spray the limp-home solenoid connector with Kontakt 61 contact cleaner. Plug in the connector and install the rubber seal.
- Fasten the accelerator pedal wire to the throttle body pedal arm.
- Attach the hose for the bypass valve.
- Install the cover on the throttle body pedal arm. See Fig 3 .
- Install the turbo delivery pipe complete with bypass pipe and bypass valve. See Fig 4 . Connect the venturi hose.
- Start the engine and make sure all the connections are tight. Top up with coolant as necessary.
- Install the top engine cover. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
NOTE:
The limp-home solenoid will be activated when the ignition is turned on. The limp-home mechanism must therefore be reset after turning on the ignition.
