Saab Dashboard Integrated Central Electronics (DICE) is a comprehensive control system for vehicle electronic functions. Central unit in DICE is a control module that communicates with system components and other components via wiring and instrument bus (I bus). DICE module is located under left side of instrument panel. See Fig 1 DICE has its own diagnostics function and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) that set when a fault is detected.

Functions controlled by DICE include exterior lighting, interior lighting, rheostat control, acoustic warning, intermittent wiper operation, heated rear window and door mirrors, radiator fan, and air conditioning.
