CARS AFFECTED

All Saab 9-5 M99-.

BACKGROUND

On some variants of the Saab 9-5, the existing modification identity plate has been filled up with modification information. A new modification identity plate needs therefore to be fitted.

PARTS REQUIRED

49 00 007 (CA: 30567488) Modification identity plate
16-30 15 815 Cleaner FL T875, sufficient for 50-100 cars.

PROCEDURE

Open the luggage compartment. Lift and suspend the floor panel.
5D: Lift up the upholstery covering the spare wheel and hook it onto the tailgate.
4D: Bend the modification identity plate into a gentle arc against the sill.

Clean the area for the plate with Teroson FL T875. Remove the protective plastic backing from the plate.
4D: Press the modification identity plate into place as shown in Fig 3 .

5D: Press the modification identity plate into place as shown in Fig 4 . Refit the upholstery over the spare wheel.

Lower the floor panel and close the luggage compartment.
