Removal & Installation (9-3 Series With Trionic T-5 Engine Management System)

  1. Relieve fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Turn ignition off. Remove engine cover, crankcase ventilation hose, idle air control (IAC) valve, oil level indicator tube and accelerator/cruise control cables. Unbolt 2 screws for wire harness cover and 2 bolts for fuel rail.
  2. Use compressed air to blow area around injectors clean. Gently lift fuel rail with injectors. Remove 2 locating rails and disconnect fuel injector harness connectors. Remove retaining clips holding injectors to fuel rail and remove injectors. To install, reverse removal procedure. Make sure each injector is connected to the correct harness as indicated by markings on connectors.
