Removal & Installation (9-5 Series V6)

Relieve fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Turn ignition off. Remove engine cover and air inlet hose at throttle body. Disconnect throttle cable. Carefully remove throttle body. See THROTTLE BODY . Remove upper intake manifold and plug intake passages. Disconnect electrical connectors, fuel lines and vacuum hoses from fuel rail. Blow compressed air around injectors to clean area. Secure injectors to fuel rail using plastic zip ties around electrical connector at injector. Lift out fuel rail with injectors. Replace "O" rings if needed. To reinstall, lubricate "O" rings with vaseline or equivalent. Tighten fuel rail bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
