Removal & Installation (9-3 Series With Trionic T-7 Engine Management System)

  1. Relieve fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Turn ignition off. Remove engine cover. Use SST 83 95 261 fuel line separation tool to remove fuel connections at fuel rail. Remove crankcase ventilation hose, dipstick and filler pipe.
  2. Remove throttle disc cover and throttle cable. Remove accelerator wire and holder, then bend to one side. Unbolt and remove wire harness cover. Unplug injector harness connectors and move aside. Use compressed air to blow area around injectors clean.
  3. Remove 2 fuel rail bolts. Disconnect pressure regulator vacuum hose. Secure each injector to fuel rail with a zip-tie placed over injector retainer clips. Gently pry fuel rail loose and lift out. Remove fuel injector from fuel rail. To install, reverse removal procedure. Coat injector "O" rings with acid-free vaseline. Spray injector harness connectors with Kontakt 61.
