Removal & Installation

  1. Remove appropriate engine cover to access CKP sensor connector, located at rear of engine. Remove turbo pressure rod and plug turbo discharge hose (if equipped). On 9000 series with 2.3L engine, remove lower half of intake manifold to expose wiring conduit. On all models, disconnect CKP sensor connector. Note routing of wiring and position of cable ties for installation. Remove CKP sensor mounting bolt and sensor.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure CKP sensor and "O" ring are clean and that "O" ring is positioned correctly on CKP sensor. Lubricate "O" ring with petroleum jelly before installation. Tighten CKP sensor mounting bolt to 70 INCH lbs. (8 N.m).
