Diagnosis & Repair Procedure
- Check for additional DTCs. Perform diagnosis for additional DTCs first. If additional DTCs are not present, go to next step.
- Start and run engine at idle. Connect scan tool. Select TCS, ACTIVATE, then DISCONN ENRICHMENT. If engine stops, go to step 5). If engine does not stop, go to next step.
- Connect ohmmeter between ECM connector terminal No. 68 and TCS connector (located under driver's seat) terminal No. 21. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair circuit in question, then go to next step. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
- Remove ECM. Connect voltmeter between ECM connector terminals No. 68 and 28. Using scan tool, select TCS, ACTIVATE, and DISCONN ENRICHMENT. With injectors energized, a reading of about 12 volts should be obtained. With injectors not energized, a reading of about zero volts should be obtained. If voltages are to specification, go to next step. If voltages are not to specification, see appropriate TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM article in appropriate lemon-25(R) manual.
- Clear DTC(s) and road test vehicle. If DTC(s) is reset, retest system. If DTC(s) is not reset, repair is complete.
