System Operation Check

  1. Turn ignition on. If system is operating properly, SRS warning light will illuminate for 3-4 seconds, then go out. If a fault is detected, light will remain on until ignition is switched off.
  2. When diagnosing DTCs, be sure to leave ignition in ON position for at least 10 seconds after SRS warning light goes out. This allows SRS control module enough time to verify proper system operation.
