Bleeding Brake System

NOTE: ALWAYS use DOT 4 brake fluid. DO NOT use DOT 5 silicone brake fluid. Front wheels MUST be bled first.
  1. Ensure brake fluid reservoir remains full throughout bleeding procedure. Raise and support vehicle. Connect brake bleed hose to left front bleed screw. Open bleed screw. Remove about 3 ounces (0.1 L) of brake fluid. Repeat procedure at right front wheel.
  2. Move brake bleed hose to left rear wheel and open nipple. Remove about 1.5 ounces (.05 L) of brake fluid. Repeat procedure at right rear wheel. Lower vehicle and check brake operation.
