Computerized Engine Controls: Notes

On all models except 9000 Series Turbo, the computerized engine control system consists of 2 or 3 Electronic Control Modules (ECMs): a fuel injection ECM, an ignition ECM, and an Automatic Performance Control (APC) ECM. On 9000 Series Turbo, the computerized engine control system consists of an ECM, ignition cartridge, Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor, fuel injectors, Hall Effect sensor and Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor. Automatic Performance Control (APC) is built into the ECM.
