Steering Column: Installation

Reverse removal procedure to install steering column. Ensure lock bolt at steering joint engages groove in shaft. Apply adhesive to groove in boot.

Ensure bolt in lower joint is below upper cleat at end of intermediate shaft. When installing shaft, adjust clearance between universal joint and column to .12-.20" (3-5 mm). Secure connectors and wiring for air bag and horn to steering column. Reverse removal procedure to complete installation.
