Vacuum Pump & Regulator Test
- Remove connector from vacuum pump. Apply battery voltage to terminal No. 3. Connect jumper wires from terminals No. 1 and No. 2 to ground. Vacuum pump should operate and vacuum regulator should fully retract cruise control cable.
- Remove jumper wire from terminal No. 2. Vacuum pump should stop, but regulator should maintain cable in retracted position. If not, vacuum pump is faulty or there is a vacuum leak in the system.
- Disconnect jumper wire from terminal No. 1. Vacuum regulator should extend cable to normal ("OFF") position. If not, vacuum pump is faulty.
