Ignition Timing

  1. Connect tachometer and timing light. Disconnect and plug vacuum advance hose (if equipped), except 900. Place transmission in Neutral.
  2. Ensure throttle switch is closed. With engine at normal operating temperature, check ignition timing at specified RPM.

Application Specification
900 (1) 20 @ 2000
900S & 9000S 14 @ 850
900 Turbo & 9000 Turbo 16 @ 850
(1) Vacuum advance hose connected.
