Off-Vehicle Inspection

  1. Check flywheel and pressure plate friction surfaces for signs of scoring or distortion. If deeply scored or excessively worn, resurface pressure plate.
  2. Ensure clutch release bearing turns freely. If bearing is noisy, rough or dry, it must be replaced. DO NOT clean bearing with solvent. Use only compressed air.
