Clutch Assembly: Installation
- Before installing clutch, check input shaft seal condition. If necessary, replace seal. Reassemble clutch assembly. Install components simultaneously. Loosely install pressure plate mounting bolts.
- Hardened side of release bearing must face clutch assembly. Lightly coat input shaft splines with molybdenum grease. Tap shaft into position. Ensure splined shaft engages with splines of both the disc and pilot bearing. Apply Loctite to slave cylinder bolts. Install slave cylinder.
- Tighten pressure plate bolts evenly. Ensure plastic sleeve with circlip is installed with slave cylinder. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
