Throttle Control Test (Closed Position)

  1. Ensure throttle is able to fully close when dashpot plunger is depressed. Remove harness connector from throttle switch. Ensure throttle is fully closed.
  2. Connect ohmmeter across throttle switch terminals No. 1 and 2. See Fig 1 . Resistance should be present when throttle is closed. Move throttle to off-idle position. Resistance should not be present.

  3. If resistance is correct, proceed to THROTTLE CONTROL TEST (OPEN POSITION) test. If resistance is incorrect, loosen throttle switch adjusting screws and rotate switch to correct switch position.
