Preliminary Checks

The following systems and components must be in good condition and operating properly before beginning diagnosis of the fuel injection system.

• Battery connections and specific gravity.
• Ignition system.
• Emission control system.
• Air intake system leakage.
• Engine compression pressure.
• Fuel supply system pressure and flow.
• Fuel and vacuum lines.
• Injection system component and sensor electrical connections.
• Air filter.
• Vacuum line, fuel hose and pipe connections.
