Ignition Timing

  1. Connect tachometer and timing light. Disconnect and plug vacuum advance hose and place transmission in Neutral.
  2. With engine at normal operating temperature and at 2000 RPM, line on flywheel must align with mark on flywheel housing.

  3. If timing is incorrect, loosen distributor retaining screws and rotate distributor housing until timing is correct. Reconnect vacuum advance hose. Adjust engine idle speed.

Application Specification
Turbo 16 @ 850
All Other Models 20 @ 2000
(1) Disconnect and plug vacuum advance hose.
