Pressure Valve

  1. Remove pressure valve from system and mark for reinstallation. Connect Saab APC boost pressure gauge (83-93-514) and coolant pressure tester to valve's tank port.
  2. Slowly apply pressure and check that valve opens between 1.3-2.0 psi (.09-.14 kg/cm2 ). Remove gauge and pressure tester.
  3. Connect a hand vacuum pump and vacuum gauge to same tank port. Apply vacuum and check that valve opens between 0-.81 in. Hg. Replace valve if it does not operate as outlined.
