Engine Oiling System: Notes

Engine oil is picked up in pan and pumped by oil pump through oil filter to oil gallery. It then travels upward from gallery through passages to lubricate can bearings, rocker arm assembly and distributor drive assembly. It travels downward from gallery to lubricate crankshaft and connecting rod bearings. Oil then travels from crankshaft bearings to intermediate shaft.
