Float Level Adjustment

  1. Remove upper carburetor body from main carburetor body. Hold upper portion so that float closes needle valve, but without causing check ball to enter valve. Measure dimension "A" (see illustration), distance between float and mounting flange with gasket. Correct distance should be 9/32". If distance is not as specified, bend float tang until specified distance is obtained.
  2. Pull out on float and measure distance "B" (see illustration). Total float drop should be 5/16". If distance is not as specified, bend float stop until specified float drop is obtained.
