Programming Navigation Update On Central Computer

NOTIFICATION 

Voltage drop 

• Irreparable damage to control unit 
• Damage to control unit 
• Fault entries in the control unit 
• Control unit programming/coding is aborted 
• Malfunctions in the control unit, even during programming 
  1. Switch off ignition before disconnecting the control unit.
  2. Make sure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming/coding.
  3. Connect the battery charger with at least > current 90 A  to the vehicle battery.

1. Switch on the ignition.
2. Insert SD card into SD card slot (SD 1) in the glove box.

   from MY 22:

   Insert USB stick containing the vehicle-specific software data into the USB slot (USB 1) on the centre console.

3. Select the menu Car  - Control  - System  - Software update  - Update  in the display and operator control unit.
4. Select Start  to start the update.

   It can take a long time for the data to load.

5. When the navigation update is complete, confirm with OK  .
6. Press Return  to go back to the main menu.
7. Remove SD card from SD card slot.

   from MY 22:

   Remove USB stick from USB slot.

8. Perform a function test on the navigation system.
9. Switch off the ignition.
