Programming Navigation Update On Central Computer
CAUTION:
Voltage drop
- Risk of irreparable damage to control unit
- Risk of damage to control unit
- Fault entries in the control unit
- Coding in the control unit is aborted
- Malfunctions in control unit, even during programming
→ Prior to disconnecting the control unit, switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
→ Ensure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming.
→ Connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least → Nominal value: 40 A to the vehicle battery.
NOTE:
Check the contract and validity period of the Map Update service before starting the navigation update.
Once the free Map Update service period has expired, you can extend the Map Update service subject to a charge.
If the vehicle's free Map Update service has expired, it must be extended before starting a navigation update.
- Switch on the ignition.
- Check contract period of Map Update service.
- Read out the contract period of the Map Update service on the central computer by selecting [Home] - [APPS] - [Set] - [Options] - [Services/Information] - [Navi].
- Press [Return] to return to the main menu.
- Press [Home] on the central computer.
- Select the Set menu on the control panel.
- Select the Software Update
menu on the control panel.
Software Update
- Select the Load update
menu on the control panel.
Load update
- Insert SD card into the left slot (SD 1) and confirm this on the control panel.
- Navigation Database
must now be selected on the control panel.
Navigation Database
- Select Start to start the update.
- The update can take a long time.
- When the navigation update is complete, confirm with OK
.
Confirm
- Press Return to return to the main menu.
- Remove SD card from the SD card slot.
- Perform function test on navigation system.
- Switch off the ignition.
