- Check the operation of the tailgate close switch. Install a new tailgate close switch as necessary
- Refer to the appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS information and check the tailgate close switch signal circuit for short circuit to ground. Repair the wiring harness or install a new tailgate close switch as necessary
