DTC B1041-86: Levelling Control - Signal Invalid: Action

NOTE:
To validate the repair on vehicles fitted with Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) the headlights must be set to auto and driven in dark conditions at required speeds to activate various AFS modes, then use the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to check this DTC is no longer logged within the body control module. To validate the repair on a vehicle not fitted with AFS ensure the engine is running and the headlamps active then vary the load in the rear of the vehicle to activate levelling changes, then use the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to check this DTC is no longer logged within the body control module
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the headlamp levelling circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit high resistance. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover diagnostic equipment clear the DTCs and retest. If the problem persists replace the headlamp
