DTC P18A5-64: Motion/Position Sensor A Signal Circuit - Signal plausibility failure: Action
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover, 2017 Land Rover Range Rover, 2016 Land Rover Range Rover, 2015 Land Rover Range Rover, and 2014 Land Rover Range Rover. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
After installing a new rear differential control module, differential locking motor or electric differential, clear the DTCs and calibrate the system by performing routine - On Demand Self Test.
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the differential locking motor position sensor signal 1 circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Repair the wiring harness or install a new differential locking motor as necessary
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the differential locking motor position sensor signal 2 circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Repair the wiring harness or install a new differential locking motor as necessary
