DTC C2008-19: Left Motor - Circuit current above threshold: Action
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Land Rover Discovery Sport, 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport, 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport, and 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
To validate an electric park brake repair, apply and release the electric park brake switch
- Check for frozen actuators due to low ambient temperatures. Move the vehicle to a warmer environment and allow the actuators to thaw. Clear the DTC and retest
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the electric park brake left actuator circuits for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power. Repair circuit(s) as required
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover Approved Diagnostic Equipment, check for anti-lock brake system related DTCs and perform the relevant corrective actions
- Clear DTCs. Apply the park brake and retest
- If the fault persists, cycle ignition and clear DTCs. Temporarily connect the right-side actuator harness to the left actuator and vice versa, then apply and release the park brake. If DTC C2007-19 is set, replace the electric park brake left actuator. If DTC C2008-19 is set, check the electric park brake left actuator power circuit for short circuit faults and repair circuits as required. Reconnect actuator harnesses in original positions, clear DTCs and retest
