Installing Front Three-Point Belt
- Install seat-belt pretensioner.
Information
Always replace the fastening screws on the three-point seat belt. The micro-self-locking screws must not be treated (e.g. greased) or loosened and then screwed on again.
- 1.1. Fit seat-belt pretensioner -4- (-B- ) and tighten the bottom fastening screw -2- to Tightening Torque 50 Nm (37 ft. lb.) until secure.
- 1.2. Tighten the top fastening screw -3-
to Tightening Torque 4.5 Nm (3 ft. lb.)
until secure.
Information
When routing the electric lines, make sure that they are not routed through the belt-coiling area.
- 1.3. Plug in electric plug connection -1- (-A- ) and close the lock -a- .
Information
Once the fastening screw has been tightened, the belt lug must level out on its own in a vertical position or in the relevant support direction.
- Tighten fastening screw -1-
for the belt lug on the height adjuster to Tightening Torque 50 Nm (37 ft. lb.)
until secure.
Information
Do not twist the three-point belt during installation!
- Tighten fastening screws -2-
for the belt guide -1-
at the B-pillar to Tightening Torque 4.5 Nm (3 ft. lb.)
until secure.
Information
Do not twist the three-point belt during installation!
- Install seat belt mount -2-
on the seat.
NOTE: Incorrect handling of spring plate on seat belt mount
- The seat belt must be replaced.
→ Only bend the spring plate up as far as required to allow you to push the seat belt mount off the mounting pin.
→ The spring plate must be touching the mounting pin during installation with preload.
- 4.1. Slide the seat belt mount -2- onto the pin -4- on the seat -B- until the spring plate -3- engages.
- Slide the cover -1- over the seat belt mount -A- and clip it in -B- .
