→ Prior to disconnecting the control unit, switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
→ Ensure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming.
→ Connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least → Nominal value: 40 A to the vehicle battery.

- PIWIS Tester II 9818 must be connected to the vehicle before starting PIWIS Tester II 9818 . Switch on ignition.
- Start the diagnostic application and select the required vehicle type.
- Select the ACC control unit in the overview .
- Select the Maintenance/repairs tab. Press [F12] to continue.
- Create a Fault Analysis Protocol (FAP) if necessary. Press [F11] or [F12] to continue.
- Select Control unit replacement . Press [F12] to continue.
- Select Write data mode. Press [F12] to continue.
- Press [F8] to start writing basic information (vehicle identification number only).
- Wait until the confirmation message Coding has been written successfully . appears. Press [F12] to continue.
