Reading Out And Writing Values For PASM Control Unit

Information 

  1. PIWIS Tester II 9818  must be connected to the vehicle and ignition switched on.
  2. Select the vehicle type and start the PIDT.
  3. Select PASM  with the cursor keys and press [F12].
  4. In the menu PASM  and Maintenance/repairs  , select Control unit replacement  with the cursor keys and press [F12].
  5. Select Read data  with the cursor keys and press [F12].
  6. The message Data was read out  appears on the PIWIS Tester screen. Press [F12] to continue.
  7. Switch off ignition and replace control unit.
  8. Switch to the Special functions  menu and perform vehicle handover  by pressing [F8].
  9. Select Erase all fault memories  in the Additional function  menu and press [F12].
  10. Switch on ignition. After you have replaced the control unit, the data that was read out is installed when you select Write data  (see Step  7) in the menu. Press [F8] to start.
  11. The PIWIS Tester displays the message Data has been written  . Press [F12] to continue.
  12. Carry out a test drive and read out the fault memory.
