Reading Out And Printing Out Values

→ Prior to disconnecting the control unit, switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
→ Ensure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming.
→ Connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least → Nominal value: 40 A to the vehicle battery.

Follow the instructions on the Tester.
Later versions of the software may display slightly different text or require a slightly different procedure. The instructions you receive from the tester itself take precedence over this description.
- Connect the Porsche System Tester to the vehicle and start the System Tester. Switch on the ignition. [>>] Continue.
- Select the vehicle type .
- Move from vehicle type to the list of control units and press [>>].
- Select the relevant control unit using the cursor keys and press [>>].
- Select Control unit replacement with the cursor keys and press the [>>] key.
- Select Read out values (codings) with the cursor keys and press the [>>] key.
- The message Codes successfully read out appears on the screen of the Porsche System Tester. Press [>>].
- Switch off ignition and replace control unit.
- Switch on ignition. Select the vehicle type, choose the Special functions menu, start Vehicle handover and follow the instructions on the Tester.
- Erase All fault memories .
- Using the [>>] key, move from the vehicle type to the list of control units. Perform the automatic control unit search.
- After replacing the control unit, the data that was previously read out (see Item 6) is reloaded under the Write in data menu. Press [>>].
- The System Tester displays the message Coding write-in complete . Press [>>].
- Go to the Coding menu by pressing [>>], compare the coding with the vehicle equipment and code it if necessary.
- Check the operation of the memory switch, read out the fault memory and erase it if necessary.
