Removing Driver's Airbag Unit

Switch on the ignition and move the steering wheel back and down as far as possible.
Disconnect battery → WM 9000IN WORK INSTRUCTIONS AFTER DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY (ALL MODELS)
Turn steering wheel 90° to the right -arrow A- .

Insert a long hexagon-socket wrench (size 3 with ball joint) fully into the opening on the back of the steering wheel -arrow C- , press the clip outwards -arrow D- and pull the airbag unit.

Turn the steering wheel 180° -arrow B- , position the long hexagon-socket wrench through the opening in the steering wheel and press the strap out -arrow D- .

Pull airbag unit down from the steering wheel, turn steering wheel back 180° if necessary -arrow A- and repeat process.

Disconnect electrical plug connection on the steering column switch and remove airbag unit.
Information
- The airbag unit is fastened with a strap to the steering wheel. The strap can be pressed apart at the two openings using a screwdriver.
