Fault code 1024: Diagnosis/troubleshooting

DIAGNOSIS TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE

1 Check coding
  • Connect the Porsche System Tester II No. 9588 and switch on the ignition.
  • Read out coding using the Tester in accordance with the vehicle equipment with or without automatic light switch function (see Control module function (coding/programming)  ).
Go to Step 2 Code the control module (wiper motor) in accordance with the vehicle equipment (see Control module function (coding/programming) )

2 Check windscreen/ rain sensor assignment
  • Look for the part number of the rain sensor (on component)
  • Determine the windscreen type (heat insulation glass or insulating glass)
  • Check assignment in accordance with Spare Parts Catalogue "PET"
Go to Step 3 Install suitable rain sensor/ light sensor

3 Check windscreen and silicone cushion for faults and soiling
  • Carry out a visual inspection to see if there are any cracks, chips or soiling on the windscreen or on the silicone cushion in the area of the rain/light sensor
Go to Step 4 Repair damage or clean any soiling
→ End
4 Check the power supply of the rain sensor/light sensor
  • Check voltage between pin 1 and pin 2 of rain/light sensor plug
Voltage is 11.4 to 14.5V
Go to Step 5
Establish power supply: repair line or replace wiring harness
→ End
5 Replace rain sensor → End
