External BOSE amplifier coding

It is possible to extract the PCM2 code and to code the PCM2 on a country-specific basis in the 'Modify coding' menu.

MENU ITEMS AND FUNCTION REFERENCE CHART

Menu item Function
  • Vehicle type vehicle coding
 You can code the vehicle type using this menu item.
  • Connect and start the 9588 Porsche System Tester II and switch on the ignition.
  • Select 'Cayenne' in the Vehicle type menu and confirm with the >> key.
  • Select 'PCM2 or CDR23' in the Control units menu and confirm with the >> key.
  • Select 'External BOSE amplifier' in the Cayenne PCM2 or CDR23 function selection and confirm with the >> key
  • Select 'Coding' in the External Cayenne BOSE amplifier function selection and confirm with the >> key
  • Select 'Vehicle type vehicle coding' in the External Cayenne BOSE amplifier function selection and confirm with the >> key
  • Select the vehicle type and code with the [F8] key.
  • Vehicle version vehicle coding
 Using this menu item, you can code the vehicle version:
  • Connect and start the 9588 Porsche System Tester II and switch on the ignition
  • Select 'Cayenne' in the Vehicle type menu and confirm with the >> key.
  • Select 'PCM2 or CDR23' in the Control units menu and confirm with the >> key.
  • Select 'External BOSE amplifier' in the Cayenne PCM2 or CDR23 function selection and confirm with the >> key
  • Select 'Coding' in the External Cayenne BOSE amplifier function selection and confirm with the >> key
  • Select 'Vehicle version vehicle coding' in the External Cayenne BOSE amplifier function selection and confirm with the >> key
  • Select "the relevant vehicle version" from the menu item that is displayed and code it with the [F8] key
  • Right/left-hand drive vehicle coding
 Using this menu item, you can code the right/left-hand drive:
  • Connect and start the 9588 Porsche System Tester II and switch on the ignition
  • Select 'Cayenne' in the Vehicle type menu and confirm with the >> key.
  • Select 'PCM2 or CDR23' in the Control units menu and confirm with the >> key.
  • Select 'External BOSE amplifier' in the Cayenne PCM2 or CDR23 function selection and confirm with the >> key
  • Select 'Coding' in the External Cayenne BOSE amplifier function selection and confirm with the >> key
  • Select 'Right/left-hand drive vehicle coding' in the external Cayenne BOSE amplifier coding function selection and confirm with the >> key.
  • Select "the relevant vehicle version" from the menu item that is displayed and code it with the [F8] key
  • Engine version
 Using this menu item, you can code the engine version:
  • Connect and start the 9588 Porsche System Tester II and switch on the ignition
  • Select 'Cayenne' in the Vehicle type menu and confirm with the >> key.
  • Select 'PCM2 or CDR23' in the Control units menu and confirm with the >> key.
  • Select 'External BOSE amplifier' in the Cayenne PCM2 or CDR23 function selection and confirm with the >> key
  • Select 'Coding' in the External Cayenne BOSE amplifier function selection and confirm with the >> key
  • Select 'Engine version' in the External Cayenne BOSE amplifier function selection and confirm with the >> key
  • Select "the relevant engine version" from the menu item that is displayed and code it with the [F8] key
