Transfer Case

Raise and support vehicle. See DISABLING/ENABLING ELECTRONIC LEVEL CONTROL  . Place oil collection pan under transfer case. Remove drain plug (B). See Figure . Vehicle must be horizontal to fill transfer case. Fill with oil to lower edge of inspection plug (A), using ATF filling device for filling transmission. Place topping off equipment in a raised position. Install oil inspection plug with NEW sealing ring. Tighten to 15 ft. lbs. (20 N.m). Check oil level. See CHECKING FLUID LEVEL  .
