Functions Of The Central Locking System

Unlike previous systems, a two-motor lock is used here.

The locked motor switches the central locking system from unlocked to locked and vice versa.

The safe motor switches the central locking system from locked to safe and vice versa.

The central locking system has three different locking states:

The conditions for completing a locking process from unlocked to locked are listed in the following table.

Unlocked -> Locked

CONDITIONS FOR COMPLETING A LOCKING PROCESS FROM UNLOCKED TO LOCKED

Triggering condition Requirements
Door lock barrel: Central locking system - Action 2
  • Driver's door closed
  • Pin 86 S off
  • Pin 15 off
  • No valid transponder (no ignition key inserted)
Radio transmitter: Central locking system - Action 2
  • Driver's door closed
  • Pin 86 S off
  • Pin 15 off
  • No valid transponder (no ignition key inserted)
Door lock barrel: Emergency locking
  • Possible at any time
Central locking switch: Actuated to Closed
  • Driver's and passenger's door closed
  • Pins 86 S and 15 were deactivated for at least 2 seconds after crash unlocking
Speed > Vgr (version coding) Driver's and passenger's door closed
  • Pin 15
  • Pin 86 S
  • Pins 86 S and 15 were deactivated for at least 2 seconds after crash unlocking
Pin 15 on (version coding)
  • Driver's and passenger's door closed
  • Pins 86 S and 15 were deactivated for at least 2 seconds after crash unlocking

The conditions for completing a locking process from unlocked to safe are listed in the following table.

Unlocked -> Safe

CONDITIONS FOR COMPLETING A LOCKING PROCESS FROM UNLOCKED TO SAFE

Triggering conditions Requirements
All triggering conditions from Unlocked -> Safe for central locking elements without a safe setting (country version). See Unlocked -> Safe
(1)following central locking system radio unlocking After radio actuation:
  • No doors were opened
  • No pin 86 S recognized
  • No pin 15 recognized
  • No other central locking system actions performed. Central locking system was in safe or locked position before radio unlocking.
Door lock barrel: Central locking system - Action 1
  • Driver's door closed
  • Pin 86 S off
  • Pin 15 off
  • No valid transponder (no key inserted)
  • Not possible for coding central locking elements without safe position
Radio transmitter: Central locking system - Action 1
  • Driver's door closed
  • Pin 86 S off (at least 2 seconds)
  • Pin 15 off, not possible for coding central locking elements without safe position
  • No valid transponder (no key inserted)
  • Not possible for coding central locking elements without safe position
(1) twv1 = re-locking time, codable

The conditions for completing a locking process from locked to safe are listed in the following table.

Locked -> Safe

CONDITIONS FOR COMPLETING A LOCKING PROCESS FROM LOCKED TO SAFE

Triggering condition Requirements
Door lock barrel: Central locking system - Action 1
  • Driver's door closed
  • Pin 86 S off
  • Pin 15 off
  • No valid transponder, not possible for coding central locking elements without safe position

The conditions for completing a locking process from safe to locked are listed in the following table.

Safe -> Locked

CONDITIONS FOR COMPLETING A LOCKING PROCESS FROM SAFE TO LOCKED

Triggering condition Requirements
Central locking system was unlocked, door lock barrel or radio transmitter are actuated twice in 1 second, the central locking system lock is already in safe position after the first actuation and before the second actuation is detected. As for Unlocked -> Safe
Central locking system already in safe position and door lock barrel is actuated to closed twice in 1 second. As for Unlocked -> Safe
Safe position of a door is detected during pin 15.
  • Pin 15
  • At least one door is in safe position
  • Alarm system not activated
Pin 86 S on Within 10 seconds or in the inactive period after the locking command is given once
Pin 15 on or valid transponder
A valid transponder is detected
IR sensor detects movement System is in the time window for movement detection

The conditions for completing a locking process from locked to unlocked are listed in the following table.

Locked -> Unlocked

CONDITIONS FOR COMPLETING A LOCKING PROCESS FROM LOCKED TO UNLOCKED

Triggering condition Requirements
Door lock barrel: Actuated to open Not for coding variant deactivate only via radio, if alarm system is activated
Radio transmitter: Actuated once
  • Pin 86 S off (at least 2 seconds)
Central locking switch: Actuated to open
  • Both doors closed and
  • Doors are locked both with central locking switch or
  • After locking with pin 15 or
  • After locking via speed signal
Unlocking a door via inner actuating mechanism
  • Locking performed either with central locking switch or
  • After a valid transponder is detected or
  • After locking with pin 15 on or
  • After locking via speed signal
Crash signal
  • Pin 86 S or
  • Pin 15
Desired locked position is not achieved Not applicable for emergency function or for actuating central locking switch.

The conditions for performing a locking process from safe to unlocked are listed in the following table.

Safe -> Unlocked

CONDITIONS FOR PERFORMING A LOCKING PROCESS FROM SAFE TO UNLOCKED

Triggering condition Requirements
Door lock barrel: Actuated to open Not for coding variant deactivate only via radio, if alarm system is activated
Radio transmitter: Actuated once
  • Pin 86 S off (at least 2 seconds)
  • Pin 15 off
  • No valid transponder
