System Operation Check

When ignition is turned on, a self test is performed and AIR BAG warning light on instrument panel should come on for about 3 seconds and then go off. If AIR BAG warning light fails to come on, remains on after 2-5 seconds, or comes on after being off for 3 seconds, there is a fault in the system. See DIAGNOSTICS  .
