Combination Switch: Removal

  1. Ensure front wheels are in straight-ahead position. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  . Remove steering wheel. See STEERING WHEEL & HORN PAD  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove steering column trim panel.
  2. Disconnect contact unit connectors. Remove contact unit-to-combination switch screws. Remove contact unit. Disconnect combination switch connectors. Remove combination switch from steering column.
