Code 1145: Malfunction Indicator Light (Mil)

A ground path for Malfunction Indicator Light is provided by DME control unit over terminal No. 22 (Green/Gray wire). Ensure MIL bulb filament is not burned out. Check malfunction indicator light circuit by turning ignition off.

Disconnect DME control unit, and ground terminal No. 22 (Green/Gray wire). With ignition on, MIL should come on. If light does not come on, check wiring harness and connectors. If necessary, replace DME control unit.

NOTE: Green/Gray wire is also routed to diagnostic connector. Ensure wire leading to diagnostic connector is not shorted to battery voltage or ground.
