Hydraulic Unit: Installation
- Place brackets for hydraulic unit wheel housings and tilt down on wheel side. Move hydraulic unit into brackets from wheel side and insert 2 mounting bolts.
- Mount hydraulic unit brackets on wheel housings (3 self-locking nuts). Mount brake pressure regulator and brake lines on hydraulic unit in correct position. If applicable, hold brake lines in brackets on wheel housings with clips and engage locks.NOTE: Use caution to ensure brake lines are routed correctly.
- Connect 12-pin plug and secure cable release. Mount cover on hydraulic unit. Mount wire harness on hydraulic unit bracket. Connect ground wire on pump motor.
- Bleed brakes in order of stepped brake master cylinder, push rod brake circuit (front wheels) and intermediate piston circuit (rear wheels). Check for leaks. Bleeding procedures are same for vehicles without ABS. Check function with ABS tester.
