Throttle Switch (Idle Contact)

  1. Pull off both EZF and LH control unit Plugs. Connect ohmmeter on terminal 4 of disconnected EZF control unit plug and ground. With throttle closed reading should be 0 ohms (maximum of 10 ohms). With throttle opened, reading should be infinity. Idle contact must open immediately.
  2. Opening the idle contact should advance ignition timing by approximately 10°. If not, check for open circuit or defective idle switch.
