Steering Gears & Linkage: Description
Porsche models use rack and pinion steering. 911SC tie rods attach to rack with yoke and eyebolts, while 924 and 930 use ball swivel joints. Pinion on 924 is offset to the left of center; 911SC and 930 have pinion shaft centered in rack housing. Pinion shafts on all models are supported by ball bearings.
