Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Speed Sensor & Retaining Bolt

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  1. Install the wheel speed sensor (2) to the steering knuckle. Secure with 1 bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the front wheel speed sensor bolt to 8.5 N.m (76 lb in).

  2. Install the sensor harness clamp (1).

  3. Install the sensor clamp to the strut (1).

  4. Position the brake hose. Secure with bolt (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the sensor clamp bolt to 29 N.m (21 lb ft).

  5. Position the wheel speed sensor pigtail harness. Secure with bolt (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the harness bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  6. Connect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector (1).
  7. Install the wheelhousing. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement .
  8. Perform Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle .
