Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Installing Fuel Sender Gage Assembly By Sliding It Downward

  1. Install the left fuel sender gage assembly for AWD.
  2. NOTE: Do not damage the wire harness.
  3. Install the fuel sender gage assembly by sliding it downward.
  4. NOTE: Make sure that the fuel sender gage arm does not bend.
  5. Connect the connector of the fuel sender gage assembly.

  7. Install the right sender gage assembly for AWD.
  8. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  9. Install the fuel sender gage to the fuel tank with the 5 bolts.

    Tighten:  1.5 N.m (13 lb in)

  11. Connect the fuel sender gage connector.

    NOTE: Do not damage the wire harness.
  13. Install the fuel sender gage assembly by sliding it downward for FWD.
  14. NOTE: Make sure that the fuel sender gage arm does not bend.
  15. Connect the connector of the fuel sender gage assembly.
  16. Install the fuel suction tube assembly for AWD.
  17. Install the fuel suction tube assembly for FWD.
  18. Install the fuel pump gage retainer for AWD.
  19. Install the fuel pump gage retainer for FWD.
  20. Install the fuel tank vent hose for FWD.
  21. Connect the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly.
  22. CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning .
  23. Connect cable to negative battery terminal.
  24. Inspect for a fuel leak.
  25. Install the rear floor service hole cover for AWD.

  27. Install no. 2 rear floor service hole cover for AWD.
  28. Connect the fuel sender gage connector.
  29. Install the rear floor service hole cover for FWD.
  30. Install the rear seat cushion assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
